| CSF1
The colony stimulating factor 1 (CSF1), also known as macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF), is a secreted cytokine which causes hematopoietic stem cells to differentiate into macrophages or other related cell types. Eukaryotic cells also produce M-CSF in order to combat intercellular viral infection. It is one of the three experimentally described colony-stimulating factors. M-CSF binds to the colony stimulating factor 1 receptor.M-CSF is a cytokine, being a smaller protein involved in cell signaling. The active form of the protein is found extracellularly as a disulfide-linked homodimer, and is thought to be produced by proteolytic cleavage of membrane-bound precursors.| Typical data
As the OD values of the standard curve may vary according to the conditions of the actual assay performance (e.g. operator, pipetting technique, wash technique or temperature effects), the operator should establish a standard curve for each test. Typical standard curve and data are provided below for reference only.| Concentration (pg/mL) | 500 | 250 | 125 | 62.5 | 31.25 | 15.62 | 7.81 | 0 |
| OD | 2.28 | 1.24 | 0.67 | 0.35 | 0.19 | 0.14 | 0.11 | 0.09 |

| Repeatability
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):CV% < 10%; Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):CV% < 10%| Recovery
The recovery of Monkey CSF1 spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.| Sample Type | Range(%) | Average Recovery(%) |
| Serum(n=8) | 83-101 | 95 |
| Plasma(n=8) | 92-105 | 102 |
| Cell Culture Supernates(n=8) | 96-108 | 105 |
| Linearity
Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Monkey CSF1 and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.| Serum(n=4) | Plasma(n=4) | Cell Culture Supernates(n=4) | ||
